Learn how to neatly pick up the correct number of stitches on a vertical edge (e.g., pick up stitches for a sleeve); work the bias bind off - no more stair-stepping on the shoulders; tighten a loose or sloppy bound off neckline; work a stretchy bind off; make neat buttonholes; omit gaps when binding off for a neckline or pocket, and more.
For this class you will need to make a swatch and leave it on your needles (do not bind off). Using a light colored DK or worsted weight yarn, cast on 36 stitches and work in garter stitch for 5 rows, then in stockinette (keeping 5 stitches on each edge in garter) for approximately 5".
