This program will take you through the basics. You will knit 3 projects that will teach you the basic stitches and techniques of knitting. Learn to cast on, make the knit stitch and the purl stitch, bind off and knit in the round. You will also learn how to read knitting patterns.
The series includes all the yarn, tools and notions you need to create each project.
Project 1: Mug Rug - a small and simple thing to start with using only the knit stitch while you get your fingers used to the motions.
Project 2: Placemat - this project is a bit larger and introduces the purl stitch and how to use stitch markers.
Project 3: Seedling Hat - with this project you learn to work in the round, make increases and decreases, and use double pointed needles.
Complete these 3 projects and you are ready to knit hundreds of simple patterns!
Program includes 3 patterns, 1 skein of Cascade 220 superwash, 1 skein of Cascade 220, circular knitting needles size 7 in 16" and 24" length, double pointed needles in sz 7, tape measure, scissors, stitch markers, and needle and stitch gauge.
Also includes 3 classes - current series is scheduled for 4-6 pm, January 12, 19 & 26, 2023
