Mosaic knitting is similar to fair isle in that you get designs with more than one color, but that is where the similarity ends. Mosaic knitting only uses one color or strand of yarn per row. The design develops from slipping stitches. Learn to work mosaic knitting and to read charts (they are very different from cable, lace or colorwork charts!)
