Fair Isle Christmas Stocking Class
Fair Isle Christmas Stocking Class
Couldn't load pickup availability
This class is designed for knitters who have always wanted to try their hand at Fair Isle (stranded) knitting but were afraid to give it a go on their own. This Christmas stocking is a small enough project that it won't overwhelm, but large enough to let your fingers get used to using two yarns at once. (Muscle memory is a thing, y'all!)
To successfully complete this class you should know how to knit, purl, increase, decrease and pick up stitches.
You will learn how to use two colors of yarn in a round, how to catch floats (the unused yarn) and how to use the knitted kitchener stitch on the toe.
Pattern is included in the class (you should receive a pdf by email after checkout).
You must bring with you:
- worsted weight yarn, wool or acrylic, one skein each red, green and white (or off white)
- two (2) 16" circular needles, size US7 and two (2) size US6**
Two non-consecutive Thursdays, Nov. 16 & 30, 2023 3-5 pm at Mars Landing Galleries.
**If you are comfortable with the magic loop method, you may use one each of US6 & 7, at least 32" long.
